The Website provides a free calculator and educational content to help Australians understand and compare aged care accommodation payment options — specifically Refundable Accommodation Deposits (RAD), Daily Accommodation Payments (DAP), and combination payments.

Calculator accuracy
The RAD vs DAP calculator uses publicly available rates and formulas, including the MPIR (Maximum Permissible Interest Rate) set by the Australian Government. While we endeavour to keep rates current, we do not guarantee that all figures are up to date at the time of use.
The calculator produces estimates only. Key limitations include:
- DAP indexation projections use an assumed CPI rate and may differ from actual future indexation
- Investment return assumptions are hypothetical and do not guarantee actual returns
- The calculator does not account for means-tested care fees, basic daily fees, or extra service fees
- Tax implications are not modelled
